Maroon Obsession

Sweater: Target; Tank: Target; Pants: Forever 21 (similar); Shoes: Lucky Brand; Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar)

I have a slight obsession with maroon this time of year. Maroon clothes, maroon shoes, maroon decor…you name it, I’ll buy it. So it’s no surprise that I’m in love with this sweater from Target. I got it on a crazy good sale – I’m talking less than $10! It’s very comfy because it’s lightweight so you don’t sweat your face off but it still keeps you warm enough. I can’t get enough of these flats, although truthfully I’m STILL breaking them in. Beauty is pain, right? I love this outfit for its simplicity and its casual feel. Hope you guys are having a great week!

Favorite Vest

Shirt: Old Navy (similar); Vest: Kmart (similar); Jeans: LC Lauren ConradBoots: Macy’s (similar); Watch: Anne Klein

Turtlenecks are definitely a classic and have become one of my favorite pieces to wear in the cooler weather. I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, especially when they fit tightly around your neck. I’ve found the key is to get one with a slightly slouchy neck so you don’t feel like you’re choking. I think they look chic and put together. I’m also a huge fan of quilted vests in the fall time (just like every other girl). My mother-in-law bought me this one for Christmas last year, and I absolutely love the color of it! I’ve worn it so many times already this fall. I was surprised when she said it was from Kmart. I guess I don’t give them enough credit in the clothing department. This outfit is such a nice, simple one to throw on for any casual occasion. Hope you guys are having a good week so far!

Game Day Girls

Football season is in full swing. The games are playing, the snacks are being passed around, and we all know someone who’s yelling at the tv screen. I love game day clothes because they’re some of the comfiest and cutest outfits to wear. I put together some outfits to help inspire you in case you can’t think of what to wear to the big games on the weekend. I did a post similar to this for baseball games a few years ago. It was a pretty big hit, so I thought a football version was overdue. I hope you find some inspiration!

Brown and Black

Top: Forever 21 (similar and similar); Jeans: LC Lauren ConradBoots: Macy’s (similar); Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar); Purse: Lauren Ralph Lauren

I’ve heard before that brown and black are not to be paired together. Just call me a rule breaker! I love the look of this flowy top with these structured riding boots. I added the cheetah print necklace to tie in the brown and black colors. As you guys know, I like to link everything so that you can purchase any pieces you see that you might like. It’s no secret I try to stick to a budget, which means I can’t always buy the most current items in stores. If I can’t find the exact item anymore, I try to link items that are identical or at least very similar. I wish they could all be the exact same pieces as what I’m wearing, but alas, I just don’t have the money to constantly be shopping. I hope you guys understand. Just trying to be real here! Ok, just needed to put that out there so you guys know. Happy Monday! Start the week off great.

Layered Dress

Dress: H&M (similar); Denim Jacket: Banana Republic (similar); Booties: Old Navy (similar); Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar); Purse: Lauren Ralph LaurenBracelets: Wet Seal (similar) and Alex + Ani; Sunglasses: Target

Even though I love the look of booties with dresses, this was actually the first time I tried my hand at this trend. I received quite a few compliments on it, so you can bet I’ll be pairing them with dresses more often. You probably recognize this dress from this post. I told you I’d be transitioning it into the fall! This outfit would be great for a day out with the girls or brunch with your man. Heck, I even ran a couple errands in this outfit when I wore it. These booties are comfortable enough for some walking, and who doesn’t love a comfy dress to just throw on and go? The dress I linked above is the same exact dress, but it’s not available in the olive color anymore. I’d recommend it anyway because it is so, so, so comfortable! Anyway, hope you have a great weekend. Happy Friday!

Fall Favorites Under $50

Sweater / Scarf / Hat / Cardigan /Pants / TunicSkirt

“Fall favorites under fifty.” Say that five times. Fall always resurfaces my shopping itch. I just love the colors, patterns, and styles so much! However, I don’t have all the money in the world to splurge on the beautiful fall pieces I see. So I found some pieces under $50 that I love just as much. I’m hoping to add a couple of them to my wardrobe soon. I also want to go thrifting for some cozy sweaters before the cold weather really hits us. Hope you guys have a great day!

Leaves in the Fall

Top: Forever 21 (similar); Pants: Old Navy (similar); Shoes: BONGOWatch: Anne Klein

I’ve had this top for quite some time, but I love it so much I just keep wearing it and can’t get rid of it. You can’t really tell from the pictures, but it has beautiful cutouts along the neckline. The pattern and colors are perfect for fall because they look like orange and tan leaves falling. I love the look of such a flowy top with these skinny, olive colored jeans. This outfit is great for a casual day out. Hope you all are having a great week so far.
